A stunning example of an early 20th century very fine ecru linen sheet (fil de lin) with a prominent central monogram AG measuring 9 x 7 inches and embroidered in high relief of plumetis and post point. A magnificently executed series of windowpanes in three styles of embroidery - ladderwork, crossed drawn thread and reticello - decorate the entire sheet return. The ecru unbleached color of this sheet will gradually whiten with subsequent washings. Hand hemmed. Impeccable, unused condition - washed one time. Dimensions: 117 x 87in.
