A truly lovely and typically early 20th century sheet in a very fine grade of white "fil de lin" linen with with an extremely prominent and fancy embroidered central monogram CP (or LP) measuring 10 x 7 inches. The monogram has quite a high relief and is embroidered in bourdon with a stylized floral embellishment on each letter in a superbly executed post point. Two rows of crossed drawn thread embroidery run the length of the return border with a row of padded plumetis polka dots in between. Hand-hemmed. Excellent condition. Early 20th c.
