This pretty piece is loomed of a fine white linen/cotton blend and embroidered in red with scenes of village life - in this case, of a young couple gathering apples from their orchard. Embroidered flowers create a frame for the piece and the edges are finished with typically Alsatien red and white cotton bobbin lace. Perfect condition. Early 20th c. 40 x 20in.
