An exquisite single antique pillow sham loomed of the very finest quality of silky white "fil de lin" linen. This beautiful sham has a very important central monogram "PD" perfectly embroidered in well padded bourdon as well as a lovely embroidered motif of grapes on the vine. Each letter of the monogram has at its center an embroidered cluster of grapes and the border of the sham is scalloped with a hand embroidered edge and grape clusters hand embroidered all throughout. The sham closes at the back with four mother-of-pearl buttons. Impeccable condition. Late 19th - early 20th c. Dimensions: interior, 25.5 x 25in., exterior, 31.5 x 31in.
