A crisp and lovely pair of pure white pillow shams loomed of a very fine blend of linen and cotton. These pretty shams each have a centrally embroidered monogram, "BR," executed in a nice relief of bourdon and adorned with a tiny sprig with leaves and berries. A very pretty hand embroidered scalloped edge frames the shams, and each rounded scallop is itself embroidered with a second concentric half circle as well as a tiny ring in English cutwork. They close at the back with five mother-of-pearl buttons. Early to mid 20th c. Perfect condition. Dimensions: interior 28 x 27in., exterior 38 x 37in.
