A lovely and romantic pillow sham loomed of a beautifully supple "fil de lin" white linen with a single large and fancy initial, "L.." The monogram, executed with a very dextrous hand, is embroidered in fine stitches of bourdon, post and tige point and embellished with a sinous flowering vine. This pretty sham has a border of very fine lace, crocheted in white linen, and it closes at the back with five mother-of-pearl buttons. Late 19th to early 20th century. Impeccable condition. Dimensions: interior 23.5 x 22in., exterior 28.5 x 27in.
