This magnificent piece is loomed of a sublime quality of tightly loomed pure white "fil de lin" linen with a sensuous drape and a light and silken texture. The entire return is graced with an abundance of embroidered flowers, the centers of which are fashioned of hand-made Irish guipure lace. A large drawn thread row of ladderwork underscores the embroidery and continues alongside each side of the return for a full 46.5 inches of its height. A work of magnificent craftsmanship, beauty and luxury in every aspect, this spectacular sheet is in impeccable condition. Early 20th century. Hand hemmed with miniscule stitches.
