Embroidered Baby's Bib From France

Such a pretty baby's bib! This darling little antique bib is loomed of a pure white "fil de lin" linen and embroidered throughout with tiny bows in tige and post point which are joined by a string of little english cutwork circles giving them the appearance of being strung on a necklace of pearls. A broad scallop finishes the edge and a fine border of valenciennes lace peeks out from the liner underneath. Closure at the back of the neck with a tiny mother-of-pearl button. This pretty little piece likely dates from the beginning of the 20th century and is in impeccable condition. Dimensions: 10.25 inches in diameter
