A simply beautiful and thoroughly charming large antique embroidered handkerchief dating from the Charles X period, about 1830. This lovely piece is hand loomed of a very fine pure white lawn linen and displays an impeccably embroidered border of pansies in a frame of ribboning strands, all stitched in an exceedingly fine bourdon and post point. A miniscule hemstitch defines the border and pointed embroidered scallops finish the piece. This stunning handkerchief is in its original, unused state and as such is in remarkably perfect condition! Dimensions: 16 x 16in.
