A delightful antique infant dress in pure white linen batiste entirely embroidered in English cutwork. This very pretty frock has tiny puffed sleeves edged in Valenciennes lace, a high waist and a very wide capelet style collar bordered by a scalloped ruffle. An ample skirt is bordered by an identical scalloped ruffle and two tiny mother-of-pearl buttons fasten at the back. Likely dating from the early to mid 20th century, this little treasure is in perfect condition! Dimensions: shoulder to shoulder width 8in., width across the chest 13in., overall length 20in., circumference of skirt at widest point 60in. Suitable for an infant of 9 to 18 months.
