A new-born ensemble fit for a baby princess! This perfect little gem of a dress with its coordinated jacket is fashioned in the softest and most delicate ecru cotton voile. Exquisitely embroidered flowers and dots decorate the bodice and hem of the dress as well as the collar, cuffs and borders of the jacket. All of the edges are finished with tiny hand embroidered scallops as well as a hand made Valenciennes lace ruffle. A delicate hemstitch defines the circumference of the high waist and the dress fastens at the back with tiny mother-of-pearl buttons. This delightful ensemble likely dates from the early 20th century and is in impeccable condition. Dimensions: overall length 18in., width across the chest 11in., width between the shoulders 9.5in.
