A sober yet elegant service of three pure white guest hand towels in a lovely cotton pique with a large and stately monogram "CD" finely embroidered in red and blue cross stitch at one extremity. These lovely towels have an overall waffle texture in the weave with a pattern of diamonds and damask floral bands at each end with a stylized motif of water lilies. A tiny drawn thread row finishes the hems. Probably dating from the early to mid 20th century, these towels are in impeccable condition! Dimensions: 35.5 x 23.5in.
