An elegant pair of antique linen pillow shams with demure lines and a feminine touch monogrammed with a single letter "E." These lovely shams are loomed of a pure white, excellent grade of tightly loomed "fil de lin" linen. The monogram, in fancy script embroidered in bourdon is situated in the upper corner of each sham, one on the left and the other on the right, balancing the pair. A tiny draw thread row of embroidery outlines the envelope of each sham and a beautiful scalloped bobbin lace frames the borders. Closure at the back with five mother-of-pearl buttons. Likely dating from the turn of the 20th century, these pretty shams are in impeccable, as-new condition! Dimensions: interior 27 x 26in., exterior 31 x 30in.
