A beautifully unique antique linen sheet not only for its striking design but also for the superb execution of its embroidery! This marvelous piece, loomed of a very supple, medium weight ecru linen, boasts a very important central monogram, "AM." Each letter is fancifully constructed of leafy vines and flowers embroidered in unusual relief and then underscored by a floral garland of the same deep embroidery. The monogram, measuring 18.5 x10.5in. in its entirety, is the central design feature of this sheet and a marvelously embroidered border with scallops in the shape of leaves frames the entire sheet return as well as 30in. of the height on either side.
