A very charming fine ecru linen sheet with an intricately embroidered central monogram GR in bourdon and post point. The monogram, measuring 8.5 x 5 inches, is framed by a typically 1900's style diamond in fanciful plumetis and post point embroidery. The linen for this sheet is of a superb quality - very tightly woven, soft and fluid - and a one inch large lacy embroidered band runs the length of the return border. This sheet is in immaculate, as new condition and its ecru color will likely turn whiter with subsequent launderings. Hand-hemmed. Very early 20th c. Dimensions: 126 x 90.5in.
