Delightfully charming ecru linen batiste marriage handkerchief with a different embroidered motif in each corner: the initials JR in a marriage bow decorated with flowers, an appliqué butterfly with the date 1906, "heureuse union" (joyous union) with a pair of lovebirds and a bouquet of flowers, an envelope with the word "félicitations" (congratulations). A delicate hemstitch frames the square and a large ruffled Valenciennes lace borders the hanky. Perfect condition save some slight yellowing. Dimensions: 11 x 10.5in.
