A splendid and generously wide tablecloth and eleven napkin set in a very fine grade of pure white and silken linen damask. The damask has a lovely and rather unusual overall motif of coffee beans with a double frieze border in a motif of leaves of the coffee plant. A double central monogram "PB" adorns the center of the tablecloth and is exquisitely embroidered in a high relief of bourdon and decorated with a sprig of the plant with its leaf and beans. The same monogram is embroidered on each of the eleven napkins. The set is in excellent condition with only the tiniest of a pin-prick in one of the napkins. Hand-hemmed. Late 19th - early 20th c.
