A stunning pair of pillow shams embroidered with an exceptional relief! These beautiful shams are loomed of an excellent quality of "fil de lin" pure white linen and each has a large central monogram "LC." The letters, executed in a very full bourdon, have a lovely accent of leaves and berries embroidered in bourdon and tige point. The surrounding 2.5in. border is scalloped with a sprig of berries embroidered within each individual scallop as well as a hand embroidered multi-scalloped edge. The shams close at the back with six large mother-of-pearl buttons. Late 19th - early 20th c. Impeccable condition. Dimensions: interior 24.5 x 23in., exterior 29.5 x 28in.
