A simply charming little envelope to store the prettiest of nightgowns! This lovely piece is loomed of a very fine linen/cotton blend and is embroidered throughout its surface with flowers and vines executed in bourdon, Richelieu and tige point as well as an inscription "Bonne Nuit" embroidered in a lovely scrolling script across the top. The edges are embroidered as well in a fancy scallop adorned with curlicues and polka dots. Truly a little treasure in perfect condition that will grace any pillow! Early 20th century.
