A superbly elegant service of ten very large napkins in pure white linen damask each with a meticulously embroidered monogram "TC." The letters are finely interlaced, embroidered in miniscule stitches of plumetis and post point, and accented with a fleur de lys. The damask is of the finest quality, very tightly woven and silky to the touch, with a stylized decor of fleur de lys and geometric shapes. A large outer frieze has a richly designed architectural motif featuring arabesques, flowers and a repetition of the fleur de lys motif. These beautiful napkins likely date from the very early 20th century and are in mpeccable condition. Hand hemmed. Dimensions: 35 x 29.5in.
