A luxuriously beautiful pair of eggshell white pillow shams loomed of a medium to heavy grade of "fil de lin" linen. These superb shams each have six Venetian lace inserts that are strung together by embroidered "beads" in an important relief of bourdon. A jewel-like monogram, "CD," is embroidered in very fine bourdon and framed in a diamond of smaller embroidered beads. A fine hemstitch finishes the edges and they close at the back with five mother-of-pearl buttons. This lovely pair of shams was in new, never-used condition when they were purchased and were washed a single time to freshen them up after a long period of storage.
