Set Of 8 Damask Napkins, Monogram: LQ

A beautiful and perfectly elegant service of eight very large napkins with a fancy central monogram "LQ." This beautiful set is loomed of a tightly woven, excellent grade of pure white linen damask with a subtle sheen and silken texture. The monogram, set in a medallion of damask flowers, is embroidered in a meticulous bourdon with an important relief and accented with exquisite sprays of flowers. Bouquets of flowers dot the surrounding damask and a large floral band defines the outer border. This lovely service likely dates from the late 19th to early 20th century and is in impeccable condition. Hand hemmed. Dimensions: 31.5 x 26.5in
