A delightful little envelope in pure white "fil de lin" linen that was created to store one's nightgown or handkerchief collection. This lovely piece is embroidered on its flap with two bows in an important relief of bourdon and a pretty openwork floral motif in English cutwork. Two rows of drawn thread embroidery, one fancy and the other simple, define the border. Probably dating from the early 20th century, this charming piece is in excellent condition. Dimensions: 17.5 x 12in.
