A very beautiful service of six large dinner napkins in a weighty, champagne colored linen damask with a gorgeous central monogram "AC." The monograms are exquisitely embroidered in an important relief of bourdon, each letter ornamented with a sprig of lilac. The damask motif similarly has an overall pattern of large lilac bunches and a contrasting stylized floral border. The quality of both the linen and the embroidery is excellent. Likely dating from the turn of the 20th century, this service is in as-new, impeccable condition. Dimensions: 32 x 26.5in.
