A beautiful and very original service of six luncheon or dessert napkins monogrammed "SF." This pretty set is loomed of a very fine ecru linen jacquard with an intricate motif in red that gives the illusion of cross stitch embroidery. An impeccably embroidered monogram "SF" is stitched in an angle in red bourdon point and accented with tiny pink flowers. All four edges terminate in a luxuriously thick and silky fringe. These napkins very likely date from around 1900 and are rare in that they're in perfect, never-used condition, and washed only once to freshen them up after a long period of storage.
