An absolute gem of a baby dress dating from the Art Deco period of the 1920's. This adorable little dress is hand made in an ecru silk tulle with "soutache" embroidery forming flowers and polka dots in an allover pattern and tiny v-shaped scallops at the neck, the sleeve edges, and the hem of the dress. The dress comes with its original percale cotton slip which was custom-made to match perfectly with the border scallops of the dress and is itself bordered with a tiny lace edge that elegantly peeks out from underneath. Both the dress and slip close at the back with three mother-of-pearl buttons. This marvelous ensemble is in new, never-used and impeccable condition.
