Two very charming lengths of cotton hand printed antique fabric typical of the Napoleon III era primarily in subdued tones of rose, aqua, tan and pale yellow on a cream ground. These panels have a central section depicting a romantic scene in a courtyard under an arbor of flowers as well as an angel seated on a cloud supported by birds, framed on either side by strips of floral garlands on a black ground. Both pieces are in remarkably good condition for their age, the colors soft but vibrant and with only some slight yellowing and several pinprick sized holes (only visible when held up to the light).
