This magnificent piece has a latticework pattern of squares, each with a motif of tightly crocheted leaves connected by brides. The border picks up on the leaf design of the interior, making for a decorative scalloped edge. Lacy in design and feeling, this coverlet is nevertheless quite solid and sturdy as it's made from a weighty and tightly worked cotton thread.
