This ecru sheet, very typical of bedding from the early to mid 19th century, is made of a rustic and nubbly but very soft blend of linen/hemp and has the serged central seam indicating that it was hand loomed on small, possibly personal looms. A very large and fancy central monogram RJ, executed in plumetis and post point, is accented by embroidered flowers. An exceptionally large crossed thread row of embroidery runs along the border.
