"Dove grey" linen sheet indicating this sheet was little or unused. The soft grey color is the color of the linen in its original unbleached state. Over time, with subsequent washings and exposure to sunlight, this sheet would have turned a creamy ecru white - the color it will turn when you will have washed it over time. An extremely large monogram BT, exquisitely embroidered in post point and embellished with a spray of flowers with an important relief, adorns the center of the sheet. A very fancy double crossed thread embroidered row runs the length and 26 in. of the height of the return. Hand hemmed. A true antique, this sheet dates from the mid to late 19th century.
