The skill of the embroideress is manifest in the fanciful sprays of plumetis flowers intermingled with Richelieu and English style cutwork embroidery throughout the entire length as well as 37 in. of the height of the return. A fancy plumetis monogram AD, accented with cutwork flowers, occupies a central position and a delicate hemstitch runs all along the return border. 19th c. Dimensions: 126 x 93in.
