An elegant service of 11 large dinner napkins loomed of a very fine quality of ecru linen damask with a central monogram "JV" hand embroidered in fancy bourdon. The damask exhibits a chestnut motif with an unusually large border freize of chestnut leaves and nuts as well as smaller leaves scattered throughout the center of each piece. A lovely service in impeccable condition, very likely dating from the late 19th century. Hand-hemmed. Dimensions: 31.5 x 27in.
