A striking and very pretty sheet loomed of a very good quality and weighty eggshell white "fil de lin" linen. A large monogram "GW" or "LW" embroidered in bourdon and Richelieu occupies the center. This piece is typical of the art deco period of the 1920's - 30's with its geometric play of embroidered shapes and stylized forms. Three large square frames with flowers in Richelieu embroidery decorate the width of the return with embroidered circle cutouts running between them as well as two large drawn thread rows of embroidery. The embroidery spans a full three feet of the height of the return. Hand-hemmed. Excellent condition. Dimensions: 124 x 87.5in.
