Simple, refined and elegant this pretty pair of pure white "fil de lin" linen pillow shams are adorned in one corner with an art deco style monogram "TE." The letters are embroidered in a well padded bourdon and framed within a triangle of polka dots. Two small drawn thread ladderwork rows accent the monogram along with a small "tic-tac-toe" grid of English cutwork circles. The edges are finished with a very fine hemstitch and the shams close at the back with five mother-of-pearl buttons. Mid 20th c. Perfect condition.
