A very pretty pair of pure white "fil de lin" linen pillow shams with a lovely monogram "ES" embroidered in plumetis and post point and encircled in a cutwork diamond with Richelieu embroidered brides. These lovely shams have three concentric rows of drawn thread embroidery adorning their surface with Venetian lace flowers inset at regular intervals in the middle row. Closure at the back with 5 mother-of-pearl buttons. Early to mid 20th century. Impeccable, as new condition. Dimensions: interior 27 x 25in., exterior 31 x 29in.
