A simply charming 19th century boudoir pillow sham loomed of the finest feather-weight cotton voile and tinted a subtle pale peachy rose. This pretty sham is embroidered throughout with vines in English cutwork and has a large Milan lace insert with a mythical scene of a figure standing in a bark and holding a trident (Poseidon?). A scalloped bobbin lace edges the border and the sham closes at the back with seven tiny mother-of-pearl buttons. Note: the fabric has several small imperfections but the sham is in very good condition overall. Dimensions: 18 x 12.5in. plus 1in. lace border
