A stunning service of twelve very large napkins loomed of a beautiful quality of heavy linen damask in a soft champagne color. This pretty set has a central monogram "PJ," embroidered in a fancy script with an important relief of bourdon. The damask motif shows a superb design of peonies and a central portion with polka dots. This service is in new, never used conditon and as such has retained the warm golden color of the original linen, which will lighten over time and with subsequent launderings. Also of note, the hems are perfectly stitched and turned up toward the face of the pieces, which was a style typical of the thirties and forties. Impeccable, new condition. Dimensions: 33.5 x 26in.
