A delightful antique handkerchief monogrammed "JP" and loomed of a very fine pale ecru lawn linen. This pretty piece is very finely embroidered in each corner with sprays of forget-me-nots and has a finely scalloped and delicately hand embroidered edge. A small Valenciennes lace ruffle with a motif of flowers finishes the border. This beautiful handkerchief likely dates from the end of the 19th century and is in impeccable condition.
