A summery palette of daisies, lilies, sunflowers and delicate wildflower sprays sets a lovely stage for this fresh and cheerful antique table service! Loomed of a pure white and airy linen damask the tablecloth and its important accompaniment of 24 matching dinner napkins will add gaity and light to any dining room table. The damask motif in the center of the tablecloth features two oval daisy wreaths that serve as frames for its elegantly embroidered monograms, "FL," each finely executed in satin stitch and garnished with tiny bunches of grapes and grape leaves. The napkins show the identical monograms as well as the same damask motif in a smaller register, and all of the pieces are bordered by a fine damask frieze of fleurs de lys, the French symbol of nobility, and hemmed by hand with miniscule stitches. Likely dating from the turn of the 20th century, this pretty service has come through time in very good condition! Dimensions: tablecloth 110 x 71in., napkins 33.5 x 28in.
