A sublime antique queen sheet and two pillow sham set that will beautifully set the stage of any bedroom! This delightful ensemble is loomed of a pure white, summer-weight and silken "fil de lin" linen that is almost a batiste, tightly loomed and solid yet airy and fine. The sheet is adorned with a magnificent central monogram, "JP," fluid in its design, embroidered in satin stitch with precision and relief, and embellished with a graceful spray of lilies. An embroidered lily motif, interspersed with delicate drawn-thread embroidered rows, extends across the entire width of the sheet return and continues up either side for a full 25 inches. The two matching shams are each framed with the identical embroidered lily motif and drawn-thread rows, and each bear the same monogram in a smaller register and in opposing corners, acting as book-ends at the head of the bed. Each sham closes at the back with five tiny mother-of-pearl buttons and the sheet is hemmed by hand with miniscule stitches.
