A highly elegant sheet in true art deco style monogrammed "PR." This stunning sheet is loomed of a weighty but very fine and silken pale ecru "fil de lin" linen and rare in that it's in brand new, never used condition! As such its ecru color will likely lighten to white after one or two launderings. The return of the sheet features a large, stylized monogram PR that is superbly embroidered in a very high relief of bourdon and post point and framed in a diamond of embroidered bead-like roundels. The expanse of the return is beautifully designed with bands of elaborate open-work drawn thread embroidery interspersed with a decorative motif of Italianate embroidery. This embroidered frieze continues up either side of the return for a full 38 inches. The hem at the foot of the sheet is superbly finished with a tiny hemstitch. Dating from the art deco period of the early 20th century this sheet is in immaculate condition. Dimensions: 126 x 94in.
