A very beautiful wrap-around Christening gown fashioned in a lovely, subtly patterned pure white and fine cotton pique. This pretty summery gown has a hand embroidered scalloped edge along the ruffled hem, neckline, front buttoning shoulder straps as well as the entire length of the ruffle on each side of the skirt that overlaps in back. A broad sash loops around the back of the bodice and ties in a bow in front. This lovely dress likely dates from the early to mid 20th century and is in impeccable condition.
