A work of exquisite craftsmanship this beautiful coverlet was entirely crocheted by hand in a sturdy pure white cotton. A stylized snowflake motif, achieved with very fine and tightly crocheted stitches, is assembled with crocheted picots in a tic-tac-toe style lattice. The picots lend a lace-like quality which is picked up in the wonderful frilly scalloped borders on either side of the piece. This lovely coverlet, although delicate in design, is very solid in its composition and made to endure. Likely dating from the early 20th century it's in impeccable as-new condition!
