A very elegant pair of pure linen pillow shams monogrammed " PG." These lovely shams are loomed of a pure white and fine "fil de lin" linen with an art deco style central monogram PG hand embroidered in bourdon in the shape of a diamond. An elaborate lacy drawn thread embroidered row frames the interior of the shams and a delicate hemstitch defines the outer edge, with a two inch flat ruffle border. Each sham closes at the back with five small mother-of-pearl buttons. The pair likely dates from the early 20th century and is in mpeccable, as-new condition. Dimensions: interior 25.5 x 24in., exterior 27.5 x 26in.
