A lovely service of twelve large ecru linen damask napkins with a fancy central monogram "VR." This pretty set is loomed of a top quality, fine and silky ecru linen damask with an overall motif of tiny buds and an outer frieze of hibiscus flowers in a scalloped chain. The monogram, centered within a floral medallion, is finely embroidered in an important relief of bourdon. The hems on the lateral edges are hand sewn with miniscule stitches. Likely dating from the late 19th to very early 20th century this pretty service is in impeccable condition. Dimensions: 32.5 x 26in.
